In 2015 when Craig, Gareth and

Brendan Mclean purchased

Vanguard from their parents, they

identified an opportunity to take a

long-term partnership approach

with their clients.

The DNA of this approach still exists today

and ensures all Vanguardians get a deep

understanding their clients needs, in order

to recommend the right solution.

This drives a culture of curiosity throughout

Winstone Wallboards.

Vanguard pioneered a new benchmark

in workplace safety within one of

the largest plaster wall facilities in

Australasia, Winstone Wallboards.

Tasked with enhancing safety in a massive

12-hectare warehouse, our team designed a

comprehensive pedestrian tunnel walkway.

This 130-meter long solution protects against

potential falling goods on to walkways,

separating people and moving forklifts while

promoting operational efficiency.

Our custom-designed tunnels are engineered

to ensure safety and functionality throughout

the facility. Certified by top engineers, these

walkways have successfully integrated safety

directly with productivity enhancements.

Visy.

An Australian family-owned company,

Visy faced significant challenges in

managing traffic on their sites, leading to

potential safety risks for their employees.

With over 7,000 employees, 150 global

locations, and $2 billion pledged

investments over the next decade,

ensuring the safety and efficiency of their

operations is paramount.

In 2020, Visy recognised the proactive need for

comprehensive safety solutions to mitigate these

risks and partnered with Vanguard. The goal

was clear: provide end-to-end safety solutions

to reduce traffic management risks without

bottlenecking operations or creating inefficiencies.

Seeka.

Produce packhouse and cool store

facilities provider Seeka creates safe

space with d-flexx Barrier Systems.

Seeka Oakside’s busy packhouse presented

multiple risks to vehicles and pedestrian traffic.

Looking to minimise risks without impeding

site efficiency, Seeka called on Vanguard for

a safety solution.

Vanguard’s onsite assessment pointed to the

d-flexx Barrier System – a flexible, energy-

absorbing, and highly impact-resistant barrier

system that is also maintenance free.

Vanguard supplied and installed the barriers,

establishing a safe space for workers,

effectively removing chance and luck from

the safety equation.
